Central to ENCAPS' offering is F-500 Encapsulator Agent (F-500 EA), a PFAS-free, biodegradable firefighting additive that cools fires and neutralises toxic gases at a molecular level, rather than simply blanketing fuel like traditional foams. It's particularly suited to lithium-ion battery incidents, where thermal runaway can spread rapidly between cells. The agent is deployed through various methods - portable units, water cannons, fixed deluge systems, battery recovery drums, and mobile quick-attack units depending on a site's risk profile.

A notable innovation is ENCAPS' integration of BlazeCut suppression hardware with F-500 EA specifically for garbage truck hoppers, addressing the industry-wide problem of "hot loads" caused by damaged batteries hidden in household waste. The system allows drivers to manually trigger suppression via an in-cab button, with automatic detection versions in development.

Beyond fire safety, ENCAPS' HydroLock product targets odour-causing compounds from waste handling and organics processing. Jefferies stresses that managing battery-related risk requires a layered approach combining education, stewardship, operational controls, and technology, rather than a single fix.
